Wow! I found my favorite Korean restaurant in Silicon Valley!
It's a bit noisy because it’s really busy. But, this place has great authentic Korean food. I would venture to say that the taste and quality are comparable to the best ones in Southern California.
We had combo tofu soup and pork belly wrap. The pork was soft and flavored the way my mom used to make. The combination of pickled jalapeños, spicy radish mix, salty fermented shrimp, and Korean bean paste wrapped with the pork into a salty nappa cabbage roll... Um... it was good!!!
The place provides 12, yes, 12 side dishes! All those were good in their own Korean way!
The tofu soup had well-balanced taste also that went well with all the side dishes.
Will definitely come back for more. HIghly recommended.
I recently dined at this Korean restaurant, and here's my review:
1) The food at this Korean restaurant was decent. While it may not have been the most outstanding Korean cuisine I've ever had, it was still quite enjoyable. The flavors were satisfying, and the dishes were prepared with care. It's a suitable option if you're in the mood for Korean food without extremely high expectations.
2) One aspect that I appreciated about this restaurant was its consideration for vegetarians and vegans. They had 2-3 vegetarian/vegan options on the menu, which is often a rarity in Korean cuisine. This inclusivity is commendable and makes it a more accessible choice for individuals with dietary restrictions.
3) The service at the restaurant was good. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure our needs were met throughout the meal. They were knowledgeable about the menu and willing to offer recommendations, which enhanced the overall dining experience.
In conclusion, this Korean restaurant offers a decent dining experience with a thoughtful approach to accommodating vegetarians and vegans. While it may not be a top-tier Korean dining destination, it's a solid choice for a satisfying meal, especially if you have dietary preferences or restrictions. The attentive service adds to its appeal, making it worth a visit for those looking for a Korean dining option in the area.
This is now my favorite soondobu place! It's as good as BCD in nyc and even the places in LA's ktown. The galbi short ribs are also suped tender and flavorful, and give you twelve side dishes!
My favorite restaurant for spicy tofu. I've been here for over a decade, and it tastes as good as ever! The side dishes are delicious too.
no notes for this casual korean restaurant with ample seating, comforting and tasty dishes and a wide selection of banchan. satisfies my craving for korean food, especially soon tofu. overall, would highly recommend if you’re looking for something no-frills with great food.
seafood pancake: thick and crispy. they don’t skimp out on the filling and pairs well with the sauce.
seafood/beef soon tofu (spicy): good level of spice and great flavor. might skip on the seafood next time since it’s hard to eat the shrimp.
Amazing selection of Korean dishes (not just Tofu!), friendly service. Had selection of dumplings, meat, pancake and noodle dishes. All packed with flavour, unique textures, good portion sizes. Bulgolgi (fried meat on bed of onions) especially tender and 😋 delicious.
They gave many side dishes which is nice. Food is ok, not the most delicious Korean food, but not bad neither
This is a top notch Korean place. There is few places that I go to eat when I miss living in Suwon, South Korea and this is one of them. I love all the dishes I have had here and enjoy that there are changes to the banchan. And as you can see from my picture, they provide 12 of them!
If you get any of the soup based dishes, be prepared for a massive bowl!
Highly recommend, especially if you want to try authentic Korean food.
